DNPs of Color (DOC) is a 501c3 nonprofit group created to connect fellow DOCs in order to network, support and create disruptive innovations that will help increase diversity in the DNP. This group is open to anyone that is a current DNP, DNP student or anyone that has a motivation to connect to increase diversity in our profession. We believe in taking action to inspire change and to make a positive impact.

DNPs of Color at a Glance

Our vision is to inspire, empower and transform the landscape of nursing to include more diversity on the doctoral level.


Aims:

  1. To serve as mentors and guide nurses of color to pursue doctor of nursing studies.

  2. To expand networks and opportunities for engagement and employment in academia, research and clinical areas with DOCs.

  3. To foster educational support and positive experiences amongst DOCs.
